My grandmother used to take me to Neiman Marcus for lunch quite often, and my favorite part of the meal was the dang popovers and the little bitty cup of chicken broth. I’m easy to please, what can I say? Neiman’s also puts out the best cookbooks ever – I love them all!

I’ve been craving this – I don’t just like it when it’s cold, I like it all year round. I’ll be eating it for lunch for a week It’s easy, nothing fancy – but it’s goooood.

2 lbs. ground beef, browned
1 small onion, chopped
4 oz. can green chiles
1 pkg. taco seasoning

Paula Deen’s Butterscotch Dip
2 (14 oz) cans Eagle brand milk (sweetened condensed milk)
2 (12 oz) bags butterscotch morsels
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
2 Tbsp. white vinegar
1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp. vanilla
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, transfer to a bowl and serve with fresh fruit.
Makes 5 cups.

Brownie Pudding
This is my aunt’s recipe. We make it often because there’s not many ingredients in it, and I usually have them all on hand. When it’s a family dinner, I double it and put it in a 9×13 glass dish.

Ammy’s Fruit Dip

Fruit Dip
1 jar marshmallow cream
1 can Eagle Brand milk
8 oz. sour cream
4 oz. cream cheese
1-2 Tbsp. lemon or lime juice
Mix together. Seal and refrigerate whatever doesn’t get eaten!
